A two-car crash on Highway 26 near Sandy, Oregon on June 12, 2010, seriously injured a 20-year-old Sandy man, according to an OSP press release.

Around 6:20 AM, Cameron Tremain, 20, of Sandy, was driving west on Highway 26 near milepost 26, when the car he was driving crossed the centerline into the eastbound lanes of travel. It continued for about a quarter mile before it crashed head-on with a pickup truck driven by David Farwell, 52, of Gresham.

Tremain was extricated by Sandy firefighters and taken by ambulance to Oregon Health & Sciences University Hospital for treatment of serious injuries. According to The Sandy Post, Tremain was still hospitalized and listed in critical condition as of June 15.

Farwell and an unidentified passenger were not injured.

Safety restraint use information was not immediately available.

We would like to let Tremain know that we are thinking of him, and sending our prayers for a quick recovery. We also send our wishes to Farwell and his passenger as they deal with the aftermath of this crash.

The moments and days after a crash are the most important. First, you must seek medical attention as soon as possible. Even if you think your injuries are minor, you should have a record of anything after the accident in case the pains become more serious. Second, either you, a friend or family member, or a qualified attorney, should collect evidence from the accident scene. Evidence can disappear quickly, so doing this while your loved one is in the hospital is of extreme importance. We understand that you may not want to do this while you or your loved one is in the hospital, so you may want to ask an Oregon personal injury attorney to do it for you.

The months after an accident are important as well. There are time limits to filing a claim if you have been in an accident. And sometimes you can’t go back to work, so you start to worry about paying medical bills and wage loss. These are all stressful things, and it doesn’t help that the insurance company won’t leave you alone, but they won’t help you either.

Anyone who is injured in a crash needs information, and lots of it. That’s one thing you’ll find at our website. From safety tips, to news, to information on Oregon laws, you can find it here – and if you don’t find what you’re looking for, you can always contact us.
