Seven people were injured Saturday afternoon in a head-on two-vehicle crash on Highway 97, just south of Madras. William Bunton, 66, was headed north on Highway 97 with his wife, Shirley Bunton, when their 2005 Nissan truck and camper crossed the center line and crashed into a 2001 Pontiac Gran Prix, The Bellingham Herald reported. Bunton and his wife, along with Aldwin Keo, the driver of the Pontiac, and all four of his passengers (Jeremiah Smith, Luther Keo, Andre Thomas, and James Keo) were transported to area hospitals with unspecified injuries.
Bunton told OSP investigators that he was looking at the truck’s fuel gauge when it drifted into southbound traffic. No charges have been filed, but the crash is still being investigated.
We hope that everyone involved in this car crash makes a full recovery. We are keeping Keo and his passengers, as well as the Buntons, in our thoughts.
We also hope that Keo and his passengers get all of their medical bills paid and receive just compensation for their injuries. It may be possible to do all of that without hiring an attorney, but Keo may also be better off with the help of a good personal injury lawyer who knows how to deal with insurance companies.
