A 24-year-old Salem woman and teen were killed and 3 others were seriously injured in a head-on crash December 6, 2009, on Highway 223 near Dallas, Oregon, after a driver crossed the center line for unknown reasons.
Rebecca Dunaway, 24, of Salem, died in the crash, which occurred around 8:35 PM. Daymon Wachtler, 18, of Keizer, was critically injured and later died at the hospital.

19-year-old Alexei Alagoz and 15-year-old Anya Cherinishoff were killed Friday night in a two-car crash that occurred at the intersection of Highway 214 and Monitor-McKee Road NE in Hubbard. According to Salem-News.com, the crash happened when a 1991 Ford E250 van headed south on Highway 214 passed through the intersection at Monitor-McKee Road, and hit a 1997 Honda Accord with six passengers, including Alagoz and Cherinishoff, inside.
