An ambulance transported Jaime to Salem Hospital. Wood, who was wearing a seat belt, was not hurt in the wreck; it was not known whether Jaime was using passenger restraints.

The Oregon State Police are investigating the possibility that alcohol was a factor in the wreck.

Our thoughts go out to the family and friends of Jaime and Wood during this difficult time. This was a tragedy that never should have happened.
